22nd Annual Meeting of Forum of the State Nuclear Safety Authoritiesof the Countries Operating WWER Type Reactors took place in Yerevan, Armenia from 2 to 4 September 2015.
The WWER Regulators Forum was established in 1993 with the purpose to exchange information and experience on reactor safety and on regulatory practices. The regulatory authorities of Armenia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Finland, Ukraine, Iran, India, and China are members of the WWER Regulators Forum. Experts of IAEA, GRS, and IRSN participate as observers. Annual meetings of the forum are held based on the rotation principle in the member states. Armenia hosted the Forum meetings 1998 and 2006.

The Belarus Nuclear Safety Regulatory Authority joined the WWER Regulators Forum of 2015 as an observer.
The meeting participants made presentations on the changes made after the WWER Regulators Forum Meeting in 2014 in the infrastructure of nuclear and radiation safety regulation and the amendments in their respective nuclear legislation, provided information on nuclear safety regulation policy and activity, on NPP operational events and on results of events investigation. The leaders of the working groups made reports on the work done and proposed suggestions on further steps.
The next meeting of the WWER Regulators Forum will be hosted by the Russian Federation in July 2016. The results of the 22nd Annual Meeting Forum will be finalized in the minutes.
