ANRA jointly with the Gesellschaft für Anlagen- und Reaktorsicherheit (GRS) hosted the workshop on “Protection against theft of nuclear material and against hazard of exposure of radioactive releases and direct radiation caused by authorized personnel (insider), proposal of concepts and preventive measures”.
The workshop was financed by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and organized by the Gesellschaft für Anlagen- und Reaktorsicherheit (GRS) in cooperation with the ANRA.
The specialists responsible for the physical protection of nuclear material from Russian Federation, Ukraine, Georgia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Slovakia, Bulgaria and also from Armenia participated in the workshop.
During the workshop there were introduced the IAEA safety standards on nuclear securing, and also the experience of Germany in nuclear security area. The participants also made presentation on experience in their countries followed by discussions and exchange of experience and information.
