Regional Workshop on “Severe Accident Analysis and Accident Management” took place in Yerevan, Armenia from 1 to 5 February 2010 in frame of the IAEA RER9095 project. The workshop was organized jointly by the International Atomic Energy Agency, Armenian Nuclear Regulatory Authority and Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center. The purpose of the workshop was to provide a forum for sharing views and exchanging experience and information on computer codes available for analysis of severe accidents, as well as information on development of accident management program. The workshop consisted of presentation and discussions. The participants were the representatives from utilities, technical support organizations and regulatory bodies having experience in performing severe accident analysis or involved in reviewing such analysis from a regulatory point of view. The IAEA experts made presentations on Accident Management Guides and Related IAEA Activities, as well as provided information on procedure of development of accident management program, specifics of computer software used for accident analysis and so on. Representatives of Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Hungary, Ukraine, Turkey, Lithuania, Croatia, Poland, Russian Federation and Armenia made presentation on national experiences in their respective countries.
