Country Programme Framework (CPF) for the period of 2024-2029 was signed on September 20, 2024 by Armen Papikyan Ambassador, Resident Representative of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Armenia to the International Atomic Energy Agency and Mr Hua Liu, the Deputy Director General, Head of the Department of Technical Cooperation of the IAEA. The CPF will be the strategic document for the development and implementation of national projects under the TC program. It identifies the following priority areas for the technical cooperation with the IAEA:
• Strengthening the national regulatory infrastructure on nuclear and radiation safety,
• Strengthening nuclear safety, operational reliability and radiation protection of the ANPP,
• Upgrading radiotherapy and diagnostic modalities through the transfer of new technology and knowledge in medicine,
• Capacity building on environmental monitoring, and
• Water resource assessment through isotope hydrology techniques.
