The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), based on information provided by the Iranian Nuclear Regulatory Authority, has released updated findings on radiation monitoring in the vicinity of Iran’s nuclear facilities.
No increase in radiation levels outside the site was recorded following the air and missile attacks on the Natanz Nuclear Facility on 1 March 2026
Similarly, environmental monitoring conducted after the 7 March 2026 air and missile attacks on a gamma radiation sterilization facility in Isfahan Province showed no increase in gamma dose levels and no evidence of radioactive contamination.
On 17 March 2026, the Iranian regulatory authority was informed by the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant that a projectile had landed on the site at approximately 19:00 Iranian Standard Time (IRST). At present, there are no reports of damage to the facility or injuries.
