IAEA Regional Workshop on the Resolution of IRRS Mission Findings Involving Inspection and Enforcement Programmes was held in Yerevan, Armenia from 17 to 21 July 2017

The IAEA Regional Workshop on the Resolution of IRRS Mission Findings Involving Inspection and Enforcement Programmes was held in Yerevan, Armenia from 17 to 21 July 2017.    

The workshop was organized within the framework of IAEA TC regional project RER/9/139 “Strengthening Inspection Capabilities of Regulatory Authorities”. 

The workshop was attended by IAEA Technical Officer, international experts from UK and France, as well as representatives of the regulatory authorities of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armenia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan.  

The objective of the workshop was to discuss recommendations and suggestions made by the IAEA IRRS mission in areas of inspection and enforcement to the countries that hosted the IRRS mission and share information on how these countries implemented these suggestions and recommendations.

During the workshop IAEA Technical Officer and experts introduced IAEA safety standards for Inspection and Enforcement. The workshop consisted of reports, interactive discussions and group practical exercises.
