The Armenian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ANRA) jointly the Department of Nuclear Security of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) organized the National Workshop on “Threat Assessment and Design Basis Threat” from 13 to 16 September 2016.
The national workshop was organized in frame of the Integrated Nuclear Security Support Plan for Armenia.
It was attended by the specialists of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the RA, the National Security Service of the RA, the Police of the RA, the Armenian NPP, the “Armatom” CJSC, the “Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center” CJSC and the ANRA.
The IAEA staff introduced the IAEA safety standards on DBT, while the experts from USA, and Germany introduced the experience in their countries and facilitated in conducting the thematic exercises.
At the end of national workshop all participants were awarded with the certificates.
